Meet The Board

I was first introduced to SCC via the Snack Pack Program.  I look back over that time fondly.  I am very grateful to have been able to be a part of such a caring organization.

The heart of SCC is truly unique, and I credit Debbie for nurturing that culture.  My family has been positively impacted by that culture and for that I will always be grateful.

I look forward to seeing the organization continuing to be an integral part of helping the community.

When I moved to NWA from KC in 2011, I wanted to get connected within the community. I knew if I followed my heart and did things I enjoyed, it would come naturally. I volunteered with many wonderful organizations – and I fell in love with Samaritan when I went to an Elementary School in the early 2010’s for the 1 millionth snack-pack ceremony. Hearing Debbie speak to the attendance records on Friday’s – as I closed my eyes (and still do today) – I envisioned a child reaching their little fingers out to grab a bag of food. Knowing the food was provided to these children through the love, hands and feet of Christ was all it took. Together we gathered those at the Bank (Bank of America) and we collaborated with Harp’s – and we have all been blessed to be a part of some of the history of SCC. I am so thankful to have been a part of Samaritan’s ministry!

Samaritan is one of the best organizations that works hard to meet the needs of the underserved in our community as it aligns with my faith in loving all of God’s people.

I believe the Samaritan Community Center (SCC) profoundly impacts the lives of many in Northwest Arkansas through the Godly love of our dedicated staff, volunteers, and supporters. Whether addressing food insecurity, mental health, clothing needs, dental care, or simply offering the power of a hug and a smile, SCC stands on the front lines, ready to serve.

Jeff Neil appreciates how Samaritan creates a welcoming place for anyone in need. He’s especially moved by the way small acts—like a hot meal or a smile—can lead to lasting change.

Marco Reyes is proud to support a place where dignity is never compromised. He loves that Samaritan brings the community together to serve with empathy, respect, and purpose.

It is an honor to serve on the board of the Samaritan Community Center. It supports members of our community in tangible ways, whether it be immediate meals at the Café, groceries through the Samaritan market or SnackPacks for Kids, to longer-term solutions via the dental clinic or counseling center.

​I’m excited about the work that Samaritan Community Center does to meet the wholistic needs of our neighbors—physically, financially, medically, emotionally, relationally and spiritually. It’s a privilege to serve our community with dignity, compassion, and excellence.   

Korienne Toney loves that Samaritan meets practical needs while also offering emotional and spiritual support. She’s inspired by the way volunteers and staff walk alongside people with genuine care.
